Our hospital’s pediatrics department is the main facility for treating children in the southwest region of Tochigi prefecture, and we also help many patients from the adjacent cities of Sano, Tatebayashi, Ota and others with our staff of six pediatricians.  We have been designated as a regional perinatal medical center, and actively treat newborns requiring care who were born in our hospital, or from other clinics in the region.  Ashikaga Red Cross is also designated as a research partner for the pediatrics department of Keio University Hospital, and many specialists from Keio treat patients here.   As part of this program, Keio specialists also hold outpatient consultations here on a regular schedule in order to meet the needs of young children suffering from a number of chronic conditions.
