Medical Care Teams

What Are Medical Care Teams?

Medical Care Teams shift the focus of medical care from a single doctor, as was so common in the past, to the patient, who is cared for by an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals.  Each of the members brings a separate specialty to the team and works together with the others to provide the best treatment possible for each patient.  Teams can be made up of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, nutritionists, testing technicians, radiologists and more, each respecting the expertise of the other team members as they consult each other to find the best course of action for each patient in their care.

This kind of sharing of both medical expertise and patient information allows us to address nearly any patient needs that we may face.
